OUR STORY:
Gwen and Ray Ashley both grew up in very modest families in a small town located in Southern Indiana. It was here that they both learned the value of education, hard work, family, dedication and teamwork.
Gwen, an excellent scholar and athlete, was able to earn an academic and athletic scholarship to Georgetown College in Kentucky where she ran track and cross country. During college, she was an active member or Kappa Delta sorority and little sis of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. After earning her Bachelor of Science in Education, she worked many years in elementary special education before returning to school to obtain her EdD, PhD and BCBA. At Dr. Clean, Gwen oversees hiring, training, protocols and procedures.
Ray (known by family and friends as Skip) went on to graduate from Indiana University in Bloomington with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Science. During college, Skip was an active member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity and a collegiate cheerleader for Indiana football and basketball. Following a management internship with the Department of Defense, Europe, Ray soon started a lengthy career in pharmaceutical and medical device sales and sales management. It was during his time as a surgical rep that he realized the importance and necessity for sterility and cleanliness within the operating room, surgery suite and exam rooms. At Dr. Clean, Ray is responsible for day-to-day operations, marketing and customer service.
Gwen and Ray have 4 grown children that reside in Chicago, Seattle and Texas respectively. When not working, we are big Houston Astros fans, enjoy hanging out on our boat and spending time with our 3 dogs, Molly (bullmastiff), Cobalt (Siberian husky and Angus (Chihuahua/Terrier mix).
